Day by Day

How the journey unfolds

Day 1

Arrive in Arusha

You are met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to a garden lodge on the outskirts of Arusha. This evening, your guide walks you through the journey ahead over dinner.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

An early start for the kingdom of giants. Game drive through baobab country where elephant herds gather along the Tarangire River, picnicking in the bush before an afternoon drive to the Karatu highlands.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater

Descend the crater wall at dawn, mist still hanging in the fever trees. A full day on the crater floor searching for black rhino, big-tusked elephants and the crater's famous lion prides.

Day 4

Into the Serengeti

Cross the highlands and drop onto the endless plains, game-driving your way to camp in the heart of the park. The afternoon belongs to the Seronera Valley — prime leopard country.

Day 5

Serengeti — full day

A dawn-to-dusk day with the option of a hot-air balloon flight at first light, floating silently over waking herds before a champagne bush breakfast.

Day 6

Serengeti — the far country

Push into a quieter sector of the park, following the season and the herds. Tonight, dinner under canvas and a sky thick with stars.

Day 7

Fly back & depart

A final sunrise game drive en route to the airstrip, then a light-aircraft flight over the plains to Arusha and your onward connection.
